WISH(es) KO LANG: Mga Nais Makamit ng mga SingleD sa 2021

Image
By Nancy D. Galang, M.A. Happy New Year, mga Nan-sis! Una sa lahat, allow me to congratulate everyone for surviving the new normal of 2020! Buhay pa tayo, kumakain araw-araw, nakakahinga nang maluwag (kahit kadalasan ay naka-mask), at kasama ang ating mga mahal sa buhay. Masaya at excited nating iwan ang 2020! I am sure you agree with me that for most of us, it was not a good year. Yet, we can still be grateful that we are moving forward. Welcoming 2021 with a nice, big smile! To have a Jowa. I am very sure na unang-una sa inyong wish list ang maging "doubleD". Ano, mga Nan-sis? Tumpak? Kahit di natin aminin, or mag-inarte tayo at mag-dialogue na "Ang saya kaya maging singleD, di ka kailangan magpaalam, you can decide on t

We Wish You "Amara" Christmas!

By Nancy D. Galang, M.A. "I think that as you grow older, your Christmas list gets shorter, because the things you want can't be bought." - Author unknown Mga Nan-sis! It's a few days before Christmas! And Christmas used to be my favorite time of the year.   Until four years ago.  Ano ba ang ganap sa akin four years ago? If you have read my very first blog, it was December 22 when my ex started discussing our separation. It was December 25 when he said he was just staying for the kids. Hindi ko na babanggitin na December 27 supposed to be ang 23rd wedding anniversary namin. (Ay nabanggit ko na!) But we never got to celebrate it na.  (To read more on this story click this link:  https://nancydavidgalang.blogspot.com/2020/04/becomingsingled-6-2020-nancy-d.html?m=1 ) Since then, hindi ko na favorite ang Christmas time. Paano naman, perfect timing si ex sa drama n'ya, don't you agree? Na-trauma tuloy ako.  But growing up and spending Christmases with

Becoming A SingleD Lola Part 3: My APOstolic Duties

Image
By Nancy D. Galang, M.A. "Grandchildren fill a space in your heart that you never knew was empty." - Author unknown It's been exactly a week since Nastassia, my second daughter, gave birth to her firstborn and my first apo, Amara Catrice. The weekend has passed and I have not published my blog, which I would normally publish either on a Friday or Saturday. Why? Alam n'yo na, mga Nan-sis! Nagsimula na kasi ang APOstolic duties! The past few weeks have been really crazy busy! House repairs from our "Ulyssesperience" are still ongoing. The baby room is still being finished. And I had a lot of (general) cleaning to do. On my list, aside from finishing the baby room, was to clean and prepare my room (which I have been sharing with Nastassia and Nix). I just had to make a baby corner where we can also set-up the playpen and Nastassia's breasfeeding (and burping) chair. This corner is something which we can later convert into Amara's play area.  Aside from
